Does the CCANZ Advisory Panel need a community rep?

CCANZ currently has a nine member advisory panel, which includes Wayne Mackintosh as the ex-officio, non-voting representatives of our hosts. These members are all volunteers from the broader CCANZ community, and are intended to give advice as to how CCANZ should operate in its various target sectors.

While we publish the minutes from these meetings, the panel is still relatively opaque to many people. Do we need a community rep on this panel, who can ensure that CCANZ does a better job of reporting, openly, its current operations?

I'm leaving this as a discussion first, though if there is sufficient interest, we can open a decision.
