I was one of the ones that thought that goody bags would be tremendously awesome for events, and that many sponsors would chip in, provided they were able to "advertise"... so this is just awesome to me!

I agree. I think as long as we aren't making any money off of the event, it still fits in with the spirit of the guideline. Having speakers and "goodie bags" as well as renting space for the event could take WMW to the next level.

I am not opposed to removing non profit components, and would prefer if they all remain code compliant, but I don't feel strongly enough to say no.

I agree, so long as the terms are still limited, and it doesn't feel as though this is becoming purely a for profit event for vendors. Goodie bags sound great, I just think they can morph into more as time goes on.
