Hi! I'm representing the TWG unofficially.

What Happened? We missed a hetzner bill by 25 days, and only paid it once the server went down

How did this happen? We're still figuring out specifics. What we know is that whoever normally pays it did not. We were contacted by Hetzner, and a bill was forwarded to a number of people. The issue appears to be that nobody believed it was their responsibility to pay it, and assumed appropriate parties were handling it. To be abundantly clear, nobody is individually responsible. We just identified an area we need to improve in the future.

What can we do going forward? Establish a chain of command for bills going forward. Establish good dialogue with Hetzner going forward.
