Merging accounts
An invitation (well, actually a "confirm your vote") was sent to an email address that wasn't associated with my account, causing the creation of a new account on loomio.org. Is there any way I can merge this new account in with my existing account?

Hi Martin, Yes we can merge user accounts. Please use 'Contact Loomio' (under your avatar at top right of page) or send a request to [email protected] noting the two email addresses and the final email address you wish to use for your Loomio user account.
You should be able to delete this thread if you want to :-)

Sorry you've had this experience. Two good points to be made here:
- The email address entered into the invitation field does not matter. Once you are signed in, the invitation is redeemed into the account you are using. see: https://help.loomio.org/user_manual/users/sign_in/#you-can-accept-an-invitation-sent-to-another-email-address
- The invite to thread modal is confusing (sorry!) and we don't need to show it immediately after thread create, we'll remove it from there. It's really about inviting guests into the group.
