Governance & Membership

Welcome to the Working Group on Governance & Membership. This group is developing the governance architecture for the wider group.

The secretariat is currently made up of key networks of civil society, which are acting in a facilitation role- including CIVICUS, CAN International, IFP and GCAP . It is intended that this initiative should focus on coordination so it will need active ongoing leadership from around the globe.

The group will consider issues such as:
* In order to facilitate this process what would be a good model of governance?
* Should we focus on thematic or regional clustering?

This Working Group is facilitated by the following people:
* Shantal Munro-Knight, Shantal is the Executive Coordinator of the Caribbean Policy Development Centre. She is very active on civil society engagement with the SDGs and has been engaged in the facilitation of a wide range of dialogues.

  • Alessandra Nilo, Alessandra is a journalist, film director and screenwriter with an academic specialization in communication and health. She is co-founder and Executive Director of Gestos, an HIV and AIDS organization located in Recife, Brazil.
