Resetting the Risk Jedi
Hi everyone,
There was a poor turn out to today's Jedi. The past few meetings have been inconsistent with regular member presence. We need regular contributors if we are going to tackle this RISK Management beast! 😱
As the lead for the risk Jedi over the past couple of years, I am calling for an expression of interest from members for the 'Regular Jedi Member Role.' We have had generous contributions from current members; however, I would like to make sure that members are committed to the Jedi moving forward. It's completely understandable if current members wish to explore participating in an alternative Jedi. Here's an opportunity for all of us to get some clarity regarding our preferences and commitment. Here are some principles of the Jedi (taken from our Jedi group agreement):
Jedi Guidelines
Attend fortnightly (eventually monthly) Jedi Meetings - Wednesdays 3.30 pm. For at least the next 12 months.
Have a genuine interest and preferably skills in the area of Risk Management
Speak with intention, listen with attention, take care of the group
If you find yourself not contributing or learning, move to a Jedi where you can
Step up with passion and responsibility
Take a brave step and ask for the help that you need
Can I please ask that all interested members reply with a quick 'Yes please🙂 ' if you would like to be a regular member from the next meeting on 24/02/2021.
Thanks 🙌- Aleks

Hi Aleks, I'm sorry but this isn't my strongest point. I wish it was! I'll have to keep sitting these out. Sorry that there isn't much presence/input from the org. Keep up the great work.

Hi Aleks,
I am so sorry I missed the Jedi today!
I am dealing with a person who is having periodic seizures, refuses to go to the Hospital. Has 4 children, one of whom is also my NDIS person too.
It’s been bedlam. I’ve not been well, so that tops it out.
My apologies.
Cheers Yvonne

Thanks, Yvonne, that's all good and understandable. No pressure mate. The Jedi does meet fornightly. If that's too much for you atm, then feel free to take a break from it :). Just let me know either way. Thanks🙂

Hi Aleks, thanks for the call out for action and engagement. I appreciated and value the work and commitment you put in. Unfortunately, Wednesday afternoon does not work for me due to family commitments.

Love your work, Aleks! The Bored has some accountability discussions happening that might strengthen your thoughts and bring this topic of Jedi participation to a head! Thanks for your initiative!

Hi Aleks,
I'm so sorry I missed the meeting. I had in my mind that Jedi attendance was once monthly. Are we still also aiming to do the
Risk Assessment / Audit Jedlet once fortnightly? I'll try and reschedule a few things so I can attend all meetings.
Many thanks,
Tess Pollard.

Hi Tess, All good. I’m hoping that after our ‘Jedlet’ audit prep work is completed that the Jedi will move to monthly meetings. Your support during the last Jedder meeting was super-helpful btw.🙂
