UPDATE: DEC 2014

Hi All!

@liz and @miranda nice to meet you!

Sorry for the lack of updates from our end in the last week.

We have not been on Loomio as we are still figuring out exactly what we want to do before presenting to anyone else here!

@tennessee and I have been building a website here in NYC with our friend Maria Uzbeck.

This website @tennessee and I are building will act as the meeting-place for all our actions/activities, and we will be in touch when this is close to being up.

As mentioned, we want to create a website that is inspired by the website, HelloGiggles but that teaches people about pressing issues and arms them with information to to take action and make a difference everyday (using humor, fashion and art to get them excited and engaged!)

The website will have video and written content and we will create events so members can meet in real life and take actions together.

For the website, we are waiting on graphic design work from Alia Penner.

For video content, we want to basically do Daily Show style segments but not only present facts like Jon Stewart does, but present actions that viewers can take and apply to their lives immediately following watching.

Our goal is to have semi-weekly (to daily) videos which show a fact and action that are 30-90 seconds; and weekly articles that highlight great things going on for our planet, all written simply with a fashion-leaning and sense of humor.

@erika, @becky, @tennessee and I have created video drafts and we are all shortening them down.

b) what skill sets you bring
c) An example of what you would like to do.

We would like to keep Loomio discussions in as few threads and as organized as possible so as to save time.

Also, keeping up with different Loomio Discussions takes a lot of time - and we want to make sure we use our time as wisely as possible!
