OVNs list of expenses
Sensoricans are deliberating about what should be considered as an essential expense and what is the order of importance of expenses.
DECISION:
Let's create an ordered list of essential expenses.
STARTING POINT
* Physical infrastructure: lab rent, lab insurance, phone bills, Internet bills, office consumables...
* Virtual infrastructure: web hosting, domain names, subscriptions to services...
* Important roles: animator, lab responsible, network guide, outreach...

I would put virtual infrastructure first - without a web presence, it would be difficult to keep the OVN.

I would bundle virtual and physical infrastructure together. Virtual infrastructure costs a fraction of physical. Plus, physical already includes phone bills, internet bills. Not a huge leap to include virtual and physical under "infrastructure".

I feel this should be decided by the people who finance Sensorica, but I feel the proposition can be improved.

I agree with the items on the list but not on their order.

At this point, I don't think that hiring an accountant or lawyer is necessary....

@fredericdurville here we are deciding what to do with the funds, once we get them. Once we get funds, i.e. more money through CAKE, the government can be on our doorstep to see what we do and how we do things. We all know that, like Bitcoin, SENSORICA finds itself in a gray zone. We need to make sure that everything we do is at least not illegal.
A few of us have taken personal responsibility with CAKE, the custodian of SENSORICA, through which funds are redirected to the network. I, for one, want to be covered and do things according to the Canadian law.
If anyone has questions about how we run things we can discuss.
If anyone else wants to play the role of administrator of SENSORICA's custodian, while taking responsibility, be our guest.
If anyone can bring us a lawyer and an accountant for free, even better. But I will not operate CAKE for SENSORICA without being certain that we're not infringing on some laws.

If I understand, we're talking about CAKE... local stuff. Right?
This would be money for the FabLab?
Sorry.

I would add to this list spending on formalization of SENSORICA's finances, accounting and legal stuff.
Finances: hire a financing specialist to assist SENSORICA in formalizing its processes, in order to comply with the law.
Accounting: hire a specialized accountant to make sure that our activities are auditable and in compliance with regulations
Legal stuff: hire a specialized lawyer or a group to turn our prototypes agreements into well-written agreements and contracts.
