Questions I would like to offer for our agenda:

  1. What worked for you?

  2. What didn't work for you?

  3. Do we want to signal something into the larger/open Loomio group about this cycle?

  4. Would you like to continue?

  5. If we choose to continue what form would the next cycle take?

Ronen

Toni: we created a space, the invitation to crew worked, aligned commitment, there was openness. a safe space allowing to think out loud, the weekly time worked, we practice Microsolidarity - supporting each other, surfaced interesting leads regard remote-micro

Some tech problems with Jitsi

18:23

Toni

shared understanding and critique

18:24

Ronen

Alex: a sense of continuity in this crew that emerged from the Microsolidarity monthly meetings.

18:25

Toni

feel lilke sometimes i won't find the time to bring some constributions

good to start in the relational diemnsion of the group

18:27

Ronen

Alex: giving space for a relational space before jumping into "work"

18:27

Toni

with no pressure to get the project done

18:27

Ronen

Josh worked: exploring "generative architecture" ... unfolding wholeness when people are coming together, holding space for each other, meeting each other where we are,

Josh didn't work: overhead of commitment to regular weekly calls, more signal in the discussions / refinement in communication

raw attraction ... we gravitate towards what attracts us!

  • What worked/didnt work

    • Tony

      • What worked

        • We created space

        • The call set expectations and commitments well

        • We were flexible to adjust (e.g. Josh joining)

        • Openness we expected to find here

        • Safe to speak and think out loud no filter which I did

        • Time worked for me (thursday evening)

        • Practiced and supported eachother

        • Interesting leads (nice to list them)

      • Didnt think much about what didnt work, was satisfied

        • Aware of disruption dropping/joining, sorry but created dynamic

        • Number of people that showed interest didnt match the show ups

        • True to take into account that the people in the Loomio are not the average, so maybe should have expected more of them

        • Jitsi failed a few times

    • Alex

      • What didnt work

        • Few tech issues

        • Communication redundancy would have been good (back channels)

        • Found places where I wasnt sure if there was a framework to bring in what I wanted to bring in. Didnt know how to articulate the limitation/edges but the space still felt spacious and didnt need to get closterphobic with that.

        • Being able to have Nico on call rather than cancel or be iced etc.

      • What worked

        • Shared understanding of critique around MS monthly which evaporated

        • There was a level of trust that I dont often get in other projects (which I've got experience)

        • Good to build the relation outside of a context of imperative action whihc solidifies around a shared objective. There was a little bit about that but

        • Fragile container to work with people on process work

        • Thinking about translocality on a global scale, usually a procolisim there from the frame of cultural/historical context

        • Oasis from the American context

        • Having the space helped me process and think about things Ive had bandwidth going on that showed up in a clarifying way. The exercise I led and thinking more about leading those kinds of things

        • Generative archetecture discussions

        • Accommodating my own thinking and creative process.

    • Josh

      • Worked

        • exploring "generative architecture" ... unfolding wholeness when people are coming together, holding space for each other, meeting each other where we are,

      • Didn't work

        • Overhead of commitment to regular weekly calls, more signal in the discussions / refinement in communication

  • Ronen

    • Worked

      • People making commitment and grabbing my hand

      • Making it through membrane

      • Effortless facilitation having never done it before it was nice

        • Simple offers and acceptance

      • Despite the lack of signal/noise we managed to hold onto a thread even on far out orbits, sometimes to the edge but we held the vision of what were here for.

    • Didnt work:

      • Losing focus to degrees, squirming on the ground together

      • Squirming and focusing would be better as a choice - needs to be acquired together

      • The question of time commitment; weekly calls and follow up, dependent on structures we work with in the future. Needs to be more time for focused thinking, writing, 15min before a call to think about things so a retrospective could be more elaborate, deep and encompassing

        • Josh: apologise for hypocrisy here my side, scattered with preoccupation

        • Ronen: rejected, thanks for presencing the issue

  • Echos

    • Tony

      • The space allowed me to contribute what I could which was a challenge given my time constraints also but I want to make more room in the future for these kinds of things.

    • Ronen:

      • Come as you are is a very important; experience the limitation

      • Raw attraction ... we gravitate towards what attracts us!

    • Tony

      • Foucoulait - technology of the self, found with others - be a work of art rather than find a "true" self. Give people time to find how they want to spend their selves into the space by playing with patterns and practices.

      • Being conscious of how your spending your time and making wise choices

    • Ronen

      • What development can the group offer incidentally, dedicated lots of time to self development but most people wont have the time or circumstance to do so, its worked to degrees for me but its not for everyone. Not a self help thing, more an inductive things from being together because we want to be here

      • Do we want to signal this to the larger group?

        • If the human species were an organic creature and we were cells where would I be in that?

        • I'd like to feel a relationship with microsolidarity but so far its only a little, there was the invitation thread and a bit of response to that. Hormone response to signal to the group?

        • We came from there, do we want to send something out

    • Alex

      • Some kind of signal would be good but we dont need to do anything more than that perhaps. If we are to continue doing stuff, we should stigmergetically signal back for collaborators in a second round.

      • Placeholder

      • Value in the content of our critique, feedback. Thats the resonant part with microsolidarity

    • Tony

      • Four of us, shouldnt be too much work

      • The group is open anyway and people can watch. This is a signal

      • Have to be aware that a call with six people joining we'd have to start all over again. If we need muscle thats a good thing, if not then it slows us down

      • Dont want the eternal september

      • I would just post like a summary post what we achieved and what we'd like to work on.

    • General vibes

      • HIGHLIGHT: feeling not compelled!!
