A place to put user comments with Loomio 2.0 issues that have been fixed

things

RG

Robert Guthrie Tue 20 Aug 2019 7:24AM

I'd be interested to know if this happens just once, rarely or frequently.

RG

Robert Guthrie Thu 18 Jul 2019 12:08AM

Thanks @Graham I think I've got the first issue understood and will push a fix shortly.

The second comment confuses me a lot (not your fault). Is it possible you posted the comment in Loomio 2.0, then went to edit the comment in Loomio 1.0?

RG

thank you. this is now replaced in beta v53

Search (currently under the tabs on the group page) highlights where the terms matched in the search result. Does that help?

Are you thinking about search on this page, which offers "within this thread" as a scope limit?

I'm going to pull the search up and out a little to make it more prominent. Not sure exactly how to do it yet.

RG

Robert Guthrie Tue 20 Aug 2019 11:06PM

Thanks for the feedback @Arwen Heyworth . Seems like there is a crash while Loomio 2.0 is loading for you. What browser and device are you using?

On desktop there is a sidebar with "add comment".. but we need to add a "jump to" menu for mobile (and maybe table users).

JG

john gieryn Mon 5 Aug 2019 10:55AM

This is a high priority bug IMO as it gives me hesitation about doing my day-to-day in beta. It is time-consuming to remediate because even copy-pasting the good text from the edit history doesn't work (when you paste it in to the edit box while in beta it looks good but then posts with the html tags visible again; have to go back into 1.0 to fix) and I'm not sure how to know whether a given comment (or thread?) was posted via 1.0 (except by memory)

RG

Robert Guthrie Thu 8 Aug 2019 10:23PM

Yah! sure thanks for whining! 😎

RG

Robert Guthrie Fri 16 Aug 2019 8:43AM

You think that's complicated. Pffft. Thank you for reporting this though.

I think you're a member of subgroups, but not of the main group for a few organizations.

I've updated how it works, is it any better now? (be sure to refresh)

G

Graham Mon 5 Aug 2019 11:21AM

Agreed - put the button where it makes most sense for it be, which is beneath the post. Although not a major priority for me.

RG

Robert Guthrie Wed 7 Aug 2019 1:14AM

text disappearing off the screen is now fixed.😌

RDB

Sam Muirhead has been playing around with js to do this. Maybe ask him about it? I reckon he might make it for fun.

RG

Robert Guthrie Thu 22 Aug 2019 5:46AM

Thanks for pointing that out, david. I'll follow it up.

RG

Robert Guthrie Wed 3 Jul 2019 8:09AM

Thanks!

Light blue means it's the focused one.. ie: the one referenced by the url you visited or jumped to via the slider. I'll make it fade out after a second, it's just so you know where to look when you arrive.

Orange means unread.. well unread since you visited last time. I may write "unread" around it somehow.

RG

Robert Guthrie Tue 20 Aug 2019 11:40PM

Oh ok! Well please know that your efforts have been really helpful. I'll look into MS Edge now.

JG

john gieryn Fri 28 Jun 2019 2:43AM

  1. Losing a bunch of drafted content, possibly in Loomio 1.0 and 2.0 (though maybe it's cuz I've experienced a switch in this browser) :? Definitely not saving drafted comments in 2.0 beta

  2. Checkboxes not working and making the edit box not work in a number of ways (particularly around bullets etc.)

  3. Notifications do not clear when I press the bell... also missing the blue color up there to call my attention gently

RG

Robert Guthrie Tue 20 Aug 2019 11:36PM

Arrr ok we still need to test with that browser. If you have another browser, could you try again with that, so I know if there is an issue with Edge I need to address?

(just if you've got the energy for it)

RG

Robert Guthrie Tue 20 Aug 2019 11:35PM

After you click "Enable Loomio 2.0 beta", hold shift and press refresh, I think that will force it to load 2.0.

RG

Robert Guthrie Tue 20 Aug 2019 11:18PM

Ok then the other feedback you're giving must be on the Loomio 1.0 experience.

When the logo comes up, then fails to load anything else, can you please right click within the browser window, click "Inspect" and send me a screenshot of the "Console" messages you're getting.

And I'd still love to know what browser you're using.

Thanks for your help.

RG

Robert Guthrie Tue 20 Aug 2019 11:11PM

So.. did Loomio 2.0 load eventually? I'm confused about the nothing comes up + feedback on the thread page experience.

RG

I had a possibly related bug. I posted a comment on one thread. While I was looking at another thread, I got a notification on the bell that someone had replied to it. I clicked the notification and it took me to that thread, but both my comment and the reply were gone. I just tried navigating to that thread without using the notification bell. I still can't see the comments and they're not being counted on the comment counter on the group's main page.

Then my comment from that thread turned up at the bottom of a totally unrelated thread. I tried to delete it, but I didn't disappear. Although now that I go back to that second thread to check, it is gone from there.

RG

Robert Guthrie Mon 8 Jul 2019 1:47AM

Don't worry there's plenty of time to sleep while the bugs are still crawling around.

RG

Robert Guthrie Fri 12 Jul 2019 4:19AM

I'll look into the privacy display bug.

The editor is missing because the thread was created using Loomio 1.0. So you're back to markdown. I could add a line of grey text to explain that.

JG

john gieryn Mon 8 Jul 2019 10:07AM

oops here it is

JG

john gieryn Tue 9 Jul 2019 5:35AM

I see broken image in your comment; thumbs-up this reply and I will also test

JG

Do you want me to take it down now? And/or, I can just email you the files?

RG

Robert Guthrie Sat 29 Jun 2019 10:13PM

  1. There is no draft saving in 2.0 beta, we'll warn if you are about to discard unsaved work, but the old draft system is awful and we're going to replace it with something much better.

  2. Thanks, we'll fix checkboxes before public beta

  3. we'll update notifications as viewed before public beta. thx

JG

john gieryn Tue 2 Jul 2019 2:08AM

Okay can do... do you mean with the developer log open? I forgot I might open that and originally figured a screenshot wouldn't help because the view looked normal outside of comments (i could tell you which ones) not being present

RG

Robert Guthrie Fri 13 Sep 2019 1:02AM

Removing attachments will be sorted next week. I'll let you know.

RG

GK

fixed

RG

Robert Guthrie Fri 13 Sep 2019 1:05AM

Yes/No images are fixed now. Thank you.

Forking a thread has been removed, we now support "Moving comments", which means you can move comments to an existing thread. Currently you'll need to create a new thread then move comments to it to replicate the Fork behaviour. There is no linking comment right now.

I'll action those display issues you've mentioned.

The animation is all provided by the framework we're using, I've not specified ANY of it, which has mostly been a benefit. At this stage I'll keep trusting the framework.

ok this crazy bug is fixed now (introduced in a UI library update)

RG

Robert Guthrie Wed 3 Jul 2019 8:11AM

Hrrmm. and there is an understandable confusion between the orange unread line and the blue button.

The button updates in real time, the orange line is per visit to the page. I'll make the colours the same, and the line fade out shortly after it appears on the screen.

RG

Robert Guthrie Wed 28 Aug 2019 3:09AM

Thanks for the report, we've fixed this in next deploy

DS

Danyl Strype Mon 5 Aug 2019 4:26PM

I agree with John. One intriguing possibility is to move everything on that line to the bottom of the comment, including the avatar and display name of the user who posted it. That might subtly incline users to evaluate comments on their own merit, rather than judging them in the context of previous interactions with the author.

RG

Robert Guthrie Wed 28 Aug 2019 2:08AM

If you still have it in your browser, I'd like to take a look

I guess I meant complicated from the user's perspective hahahah

Look, I logged in yesterday and it was working just fine! Today I noticed it's not anymore — I'm not sure what's the exact problem, but when I click 'Loomio Cooperative' it doesn't show Loomio Cooperative's subgroups, it actually shows the last group's subgroups (in this case here, Enspiral's)

I can still access Cooperative's subgroups, but I'm forced to leave the beta, find the proper link, activate the beta again and then I can see it.

GK

@Rob Guthrie

RG

Robert Guthrie Wed 10 Jul 2019 8:01PM

I'd like this to be a public process, and I'd invite you to help model that. I'm going to ask people to contribute to this thread as comments, manage the context myself, and delete comments once I've finished with them.

RG

Robert Guthrie Tue 2 Jul 2019 12:06AM

Yes please take it down because it will be indexed by google via the sitemap.xml. Can you just post the stuff as a Loomio comment? Paste is fixed

RG

Robert Guthrie Tue 20 Aug 2019 7:57PM

Hi @Russ Gaskin thanks for the feedback.

If you force refresh with Loomio beta turned off, I think it will load a newer version of the loomio 1.0 client, which should then remove the sticky behaviour you're describing. So it should load 2.0 first time after you switch it back on. Does that make sense? Does it hold true?

We have made Loomio 2.0 totally backwards compatible with Loomio 1.0, so you can enable it but the rest of your group does not need to at this stage.

After we're happy 2.0 is ready to replace 1.0, we'll remove 1.0 and we can start adding features (like poll templates and document collaboration!) and everyone will get them at the same time.

RG

Robert Guthrie Mon 5 Aug 2019 11:38PM

I'm happy to treat this as highest priority, but I don't understand it. I would really like to see some screenshots of what you're talking about if possible.

Ha weird they appeared in another thread: https://www.loomio.org/d/gzCZ6Kpa/interested-in-producing-some-marketing-educational-videos-with-us-/14
I feel fairly confident this wasn't user error... not sure what other data you might want/ I could conjure as I realise this is a hard to reproduce one! Again, in case it helps, here's the 1.0 log where I found those comments (but I think probably not relevant as I navigated to this thread from an in-app notification)

RG

I literally sighed with relief! I love it. Glad to have 1 click access to my inbox again, love that the options are collapsed behind my name too.

When I clicked "🔽 Enspiral " I half expected it to expand into a list of subgroups. I'm not sure if that would be good or not.

I'll have to use this a while to figure it out but yeah, huge improvement thank you!

RG

Robert Guthrie Mon 5 Aug 2019 11:42PM

Thanks for the feedback. I changed it a while ago and it was one of my "see if anyone says anything" tests.

I wanted to remove some of the wasted whitespace we had with the old design.. when there are many comments it creates another 1cm or so of whilespace per comment to put a button bar under each.

There is a big improvement in the display of comments and in particular votes in the new design..

I'll keep thinking about the tension, but I'm not convinced I should move it back yet..

JG

john gieryn Thu 8 Aug 2019 4:00PM

¿Possibly related to this? There are two threads, A & B. I likely have navigated to each of them in a given tab within a session (can't recall). When I arrive at thread B, I see its title, with the icon of the person who posted it (and its comments) like normal, but I see the context of thread A.

I have emailed screenshot of this as it contains confidential comms; you'll recognise the thread.

I realize probably hard to reproduce :/ but figured you'd want to know.

NB: I experienced this 9 days ago, the 30th, in case its already been fixed.

JP

Joriam Philipe Mon 26 Aug 2019 4:55PM

The current version is 187 - you can remove an attachment by editing the the comment/thread/group/poll etc.

RG

Robert Guthrie Thu 5 Sep 2019 6:51AM

I've had an attempt to make it bigger - it's not easy but it looks alright.

JG

john gieryn Tue 2 Jul 2019 3:34AM

1/ I wonder if the group description should be in-line with the 'secret' and 'options' bit? Maybe it could be organised in columns?
2/ "Include subgroups" might want some right-buffer as might Closed for when that is untoggled
3/ First 5 results for "europe" in Loomio co-op don't return "john European schedule & time off" even tho that was interacted with 12 days ago unlike the 3 years and 6 years ago—it does appear as sixth option... I think I can see the logic it's using and i dunno if you have capacity for much editing here but may be good in future for it to prioritise most recent interaction a tad more than "exact string"
4/ I wonder if there can still be a search bar when I first get into the app? This might be a power user / lesser priority but I do often jump into Loomio and immediately type into the search bar to directly go to the thread I'm looking for

RG

Robert Guthrie Thu 8 Aug 2019 10:24PM

Thanks for the report. Let me know if you see it again. I'm sure it is related, I think this bug is my nemesis and I must track it down and destroy it eventually.

Several oddities/ bugs within the tag system, IMU both in 2.0 alone, and in 1.0 ↔ 2.0 compatibility [FF]

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Went to thread; clicked tag

  2. Typed in a new tag; which became an object (ie, had the oval around it / button appearance)

  3. Saved

  4. Left thread; saw that I couldn't see that it was tagged in any way

  5. Tried to go in to tag it with a tag that was already instantiated within this group Tag name = "Test"

  6. Could not get anything to appear where I should see my list of tags (just the one, "test") ¹

  7. Ironically, after this all happened, I was indeed able to apply a tag by typing it into the field, hitting enter, and then save Tag name = "test2"

  8. I went back in and removed 'test2' and added Tag name = "Advice process"

  9. Returning to edit the tag once more, I could not see "test2"

  10. Going into 1.0, I should have three tags available ³

It feels like only yesterday i was beta testing Loomio 1.0. This is really exciting! A couple of things:

  • love the WYSIWYG markdown rendering!

    • OMG I didn't need to add a second bullet point, it did it for me!

    • Nested bullets! But I did this accidentally by pasting a list after a button. How do I do it otherwise?

    • Too many exclamation points!?!

  • Love the idea of the link button, but clicking needs to capture my cursor, so I ctrl-v to paste a URL it appears in the modal rather than being pasted over the text I want to link. It wouldn't let me link "old laptops" in the next paragraph, is there a minimum length for linked text? If so, the UI needs to let the user know, maybe grey the 'apply' button until minimum length is reached, and give a char count, and a "go back" button? If not, maybe a bug?

  • How are links rendered for users reading in their email client as plain text mail? If they reply by email, and put links in [markdown syntax](https://www.markdownguide.org/cheat-sheet), do those get rendered as links in the web UI?

  • EDIT: Links entered in Markdown syntax are not automatically converting into links (unless I got the syntax wrong?)

  • The UI is a bit more responsive on my older laptops than 1.0, but still a bit laggy. If there's anything you can do reduce the work JS is making my browser do, that'd be greaaaat (also, excuse me, I think you have my stapler? ;-) )

  • Old school punctuation emoticons don't seem to be converted into emoji graphics. I actually like this, but it might throw some people for a loop ;)

  • When I click on a notification about a proposal, it takes me to the proposal page. If I'm understanding correctly that proposals are embedded in the comment stream in the new UI, it would be more helpful if that click took me to the embedded proposal, so I can scroll up and down to acquaint myself with the context of the proposal.

  • Editing tool bar tends to disappear, would be better if that never happened while comments are being composed. It disconcerting for the same reason it would be if the 'post' button disappeared during a composing session, and I had to click somewhere to bring it back.

  • EDIT: I have to scroll down to get to the post button and the editing tool bar. Would be great if they were a fixed element at the bottom of the comment editing modal. When I scroll, the editing tool bar vanishes, so I can't select text at the top and make it bold or link it etc.

Just added a comment to a thread. All good. Went to another thread in a totally different group and posted a comment there. The comment didn't appear. Went back to the first thread and my comment was posted there.

Edited the comment to copy the content and it showed me, and copied, HTML source so that when I pasted the comment in the right thread it rendered as HTML source.

So, two separate issues there.

G

Graham Thu 25 Jul 2019 9:45AM

How can I search a thread? I want to post an issue here, but also I don't want to do that if it's covered already.

G

Graham Thu 25 Jul 2019 9:47AM

I'll post the issue anyway: Someone attaches a file to a comment. I get a 404 when trying to download that file becuase Loomio has writtenthe link incorrectly, adding (in this case) "https://www.loomio.org/d/Ipw342Cg/comment/" in front of the URL.

DS

Danyl Strype Fri 2 Aug 2019 12:38PM

Three things I find disorientating when commenting:

  • the text I'm typing can disappear off the bottom of the screen, instead of the page automatically shunting up when my cursor moves to a new line.

  • I can't get my text back into view using the scroll bar in the edit window, I have the use the scroll bar for the page as a whole

  • When I click to reply to a comment, the comment box appears beneath the comment I'm replying to (which is good!), but the generic comment box at the bottom of the page remains live, so if I scroll around the thread looking for something before I start typing, I can get confused about where I'm meant to be typing.

BTW Is it possible to initiate facilitation in response to a comment, as well as reply with a comment? That might be out-of-scope for 2.0, but if so, and it hasn't been proposed (or rejected) already, I will open a thread to propose it.

G

Graham Sun 4 Aug 2019 2:51PM

I've just edited a comment I made maybe 6 weeks ago (not sure as to whether the date of the original post is relevant, i.e pre-Loomio 2), but anyway. When I save the change, the comment displays showing all the HTML tags.

Reaction bug in Chromium: when I reacted with the  to this thread context, the outcome was the :grinning: emoji

JG

john gieryn Mon 5 Aug 2019 11:05AM

I'm curious how people are finding the reaction button being at the top of comments and contexts, and I wonder if this concern is valid:

IMO, having the reaction button at the top of the thread will disincentivize people from reacting. As a user, my instinct to react occurs when I reach the end of the context – eg, I just read Strypey's 'nested comment' thread… when I got to the end of it I wanted to :) but the react button was no longer in sight and I gave a second thought to whether or not to scroll up to act on my impulse; in another case, I believe, I've also felt inspired to react when I saw others' reactions, which appear at the bottom, so this too feels like the CTA (so to speak) should be near there

I realise this might be a tough juggle with other UI changes, but it might be worth (re)considering the placement of the bar of comment tools?

DS

Danyl Strype Mon 5 Aug 2019 4:32PM

Today I tried creating a new thread, using the 2.0 beta on a mobile. In the popup for inviting members to a new thread, I clicked to invite the members of the group I was posting in, and then had to wait for ages while it pulled up a complete list of every member in the group. It was a big group and my browser really struggled. It took a minute or two to successfully render all the names, which wasn't something I actually needed right then.

A better UI approach might be a tick box for selecting 'members of this group', and a button to expand the member list for when that's needed.

Time polls bugs

Starting time polls (in Firefox)

  • I cannot cancel responses by clicking the 'x'

  • I can't move the text-cursor to the left of the last time listed

  • When I put my text-cursor at the right-most position, I have to hit Backspace twice to get it to delete the right-most time

  • When I use the left arrow button to navigate the text cursor in to delete others, I can't see where it is

  • When I use Backspace with text-cursor in the midst of the times it seems to function like Delete, removing the times in front of where I understand the text-cursor to be

I tried to catch a screenshot just as/after I had the following issues:

  • adding a time by typing it in I received "time already added" even though no times had been added at this point (screenshot was of my second attempt, when my typing wasn't exactly the same format)

  • I typed in a number and couldn't get the options (ie example timezones) to match it

Voting on Time Polls

  • I can neither see nor change my time zone

Reopening Time Polls

  • I can't edit my vote

Here's the same thing from the proposal page

Least important
The spacing between the response icons and the times (7:45am, for instance)

Awkward formatting and loading wheel in strange places

  • Loading wheel not centered; sometimes it appears in the top left under the group logo and the lack of padding also catches my attention

  • End of threads message needs padding

  • Reopen check header (and I think some other headers like Close thread?) could use resizing/ padding and alignment

  • Options carrot falling off of proposal

RG

Robert Guthrie Fri 5 Jul 2019 4:42PM

Thanks for all the great feedback team. Really helpful listing of issues I'll get to them next week.

@John G @Matthew Bartlett @Michael Elwood-Smith (Loomio)

I've just implemented a new thread rendering approach and thread timeline. I think it's a big improvment.

Please try scrolling around threads (big and small, up and down) now.. I hope you'll find that you very rarely see loading placeholders, and when you do, they're not janky.

Also note the new timeline with slider removed.

RG

Robert Guthrie Sat 6 Jul 2019 3:42AM

@John G I just had a cool surprise. copy pasting your time poll bugs comment into the context worked perfectly, images, formatting checkboxes and all.

RG

Robert Guthrie Sat 6 Jul 2019 11:19PM

I'm really pleased with the new thread renderer, the design has the potential to take a thread of literally thousands of comments and make navigating around really snappy and seamless, even on mobile. There is a little more to do, but it's good enough right now now, and over all it's a breakthrough with lots of potential.

The timeline design is going really well too. One last thing I'll do is make it so you can pin/unpin anything (usually comments) to the timeline to make it easy to find/jump to anything in particular. Polls just start out pinned, that's the only thing that makes them special, they can be unpinned just like anything else.

I think this should make for a really creative useful feature, highlighting key comments, summaries etc. It'll only take a couple of hours then the nav will be finished for beta.

To clarify @Robert Guthrie – nothing happens when I hit the button on the Insert link modal.

JG

john gieryn Mon 8 Jul 2019 10:06AM

So I did a hard refresh to try and find the last two comments I posted, which didn't appear after I posted them... as I'd mentioned before this brings me back to Loomio 1.0 (which is fine) but also the comments haven't reappeared in neither 1.0 (in Firefox) nor 2.0 beta (Chromium)

Here's screenshot with my log after hard refresh in not sure if it helps

JG

john gieryn Mon 8 Jul 2019 4:10PM

Reposting the ones I'd tried to post in here just before my last comment:

  • Clicking 'Unread (1)' doesn't move me to the latest unread comment (Luke Flegg's just above) just highlights the Unread button nothing else... when I scrolled down there or used 'Latest' the Unread went to (0) like normal

  • Also, Context and Latest appear to remain highlighted in blue no matter what happens (I can't remember if this was only after clicking them) ,

  • as does the recent Unread comment (Luke's comment remains background blue even after I react to it)

After I use Latest once it won't work again unless I hit Context and then it resets

Hi @Robert Guthrie absolutely love how things are coming along i hope you're very proud of your work and productivity these days!

Just tagging you here as I wanted to double check if you wanted me to edit the context to add items to the burn-down (tick-box) list? And if so, in all cases or only when I'm certain you'd find it priority? Michael had indicated to me that he expected it'd be better for me not to edit that list as we both understand you as owning it.

Let me know please and thanks, and when so doing (if you want me to edit) I'll review my recent some comments and log them there...

A few issues I ran into in build 177:

  • image for yes, no in count vote is not present.

  • When forking a thread, the original thread receive a comment that it was forked into 'New thread'. The link to the new thread is not working.

  • The 'That's all the threads in this group!' and similar status messages at the end of the thread list would need some padding added. It looks out of place right now without any padding.

  • The code block contains some extra padding on the first line. Also the checkmarks should be more visible.

  • There is a bit too much animation sometimes. Especially the diagonal movement when switching between the Threads screen and the comment list.

I got triple confused looking at this menu.

1st confusion: the icons have no relation to the list items.

2nd confusion: took me a long time to realise 'my groups' here means 'subgroups of Loomio Community I am a member of' and 'all groups' means 'other subgroups here I could access'.

3rd confusion: how do I navigate to the parent group that I'm looking for if it doesn't have a distinctive icon? I feel lost and frustrated trying to get to where I'm going.

I'm sorry I don't suggest a great ready solution. I just know this novel layout of 2 levels of hierarchy is very disorienting for me.

Thanks for letting us drive the new car! We're just starting a second cohort of our learning community so we took this chance to test it out. In generally, it's much cleaner and easier to use (and I'm loving rich-text formatting!). Just three issues so far:

The biggest issue is that the selection of the beta version is not persistent. See the screenshots below. The URL is the same. The first image shows the site after I've opted in to the beta program and browsed to a specific Loomio group. The second image shows the site when I open a new tab in the same browser and browse to the same group. I told our group that we've opted in to the beta program but if they see the old version (or, worse, Loomio keeps showing different versions), that's just going to confuse them.

Agree with @mike_hales that the tab names are too faint (maybe depends on background photo but the font is generally not heavy enough).

The section tabs disappear when I enter a thread. I then have to click back on the group to navigate to another thread or section.

Thanks for listening!

Margin between blue focus background and "Load 1 previous responses" and other items, eg attached (maybe blue box needs bottom padding or margin) [Low priority?]

Possibly related, IMO there should be a touch of margin between the first comment and the context

JG

john gieryn Tue 2 Jul 2019 4:02AM

RG

Robert Guthrie Wed 10 Jul 2019 11:00PM

The grey boxes are loading placeholders.. they're part of the thread rendering system. They fill the place of a comment we know exists but don't have loaded yet. This means you can scroll around the full thread and we just load in comments for the place that you end up in, rather than making you load page by page to get anywhere.

So they're important navigational markers and will stay.

Hey Rob - I would hazard that somebody else has already clocked this, but just in case... When I click on a hyper-linked file, it doesn't open in a new tab; it moves me off Loomio. I personally hate this. Can we change it?

Ok, found a very complicated one — and it's making my work pretty hard this week.

Many of my Loomio groups and subgroups disappeared from my Loomio2.0 left side bar. When I disable the 2.0, they are there as they've always been.

Here's two pictures of what my sidebar looks in Loomio2.0 and 1.0, just so you see the comparison. If you think it's important, I can check subgroup by subgroup, but not being able to directly access Loomio Community and Loomio Cooperative has been a bit of a drag.

PS. this is new, it was showing before. I don't remember having those troubles.

PS2. Probably related, but I haven't pinpointed exactly: I have a very educated guess that some posts I have access to in Loomio1.0, I am denied access in Loomio2.0. Today I tried to access some posts and was denied. Should have payed more attention and written them down, but I was in the heat of creation and didn't realise that was important.

need to fix consent and objection icons in emails:

Noticed that, when writing up decision/poll descriptions, you need to Shift+Enter to get a new paragraph. Just Enter does not seem to work for me. Using Chrome desktop.

Update: Also noticing this behavior when starting threads and in comments.

Oh gosh. Sorry about that. An update in the text editor library seems to be wonky. I'm rolling it back now. Will be fixed in 15 minutes.

errr, need to do something about this thread experience on mobile screens:

Sending notifications to "those who had voted" sent double to triple the notifications it should have (2 or 3 per person) – I noticed it said "sent 39 notifications" when it shouldve been 13, and then clicking into the history I saw people's names listed multiple times. I believe you can see for yourself in the thread (go to the most recent poll in this thread's Notification history)

thanks for reporting, this, I thought I saw the behaviour as well, good to have it confirmed with a link to an example

I believe I've fixed this issue now... it won't remove existing double/triple ups, but will prevent further issues

Bug? I received a notification indicating this thread (depicted below) had received a reaction, however the reaction does not appear to be there...

All the other threads in the Enspiral group are working, but I'm hitting

"We're sorry, but something went wrong"

when i go to this thread https://www.loomio.org/d/E8rs3vai/call-for-new-pods-

Funky behavior @Rob Guthrie recieved many many notifications that a person accepted my invite to join a group. May not be a step to reproduce, but it comes to mind that I sent Jimmy an invite to a poll, and then invited him to the group that poll (in a thread) was in.

Issue with Invite invitation flow. I mentioned this in the (related?) ticket I just assigned to you @Rob Guthrie. To reproduce:

  1. Invite to group an email that is not associated with a Loomio user account*

  2. Click on invite in a non-logged in instance of Firefox.

I received: "You do not have permission to do this"

    * my email address did have an account in the past until I deleted the record

I'm slowly catching up. is this still an issue for me to look into?

my recollection is that we looked at this, came up with a fix for something and added a nicer welcome message to help orientate.

I think we did handle it in that live session of bugs i did w you and Greg

58 notifications, and weird time stamps (I believe you saw my accept the invite to Green Restaurant last night when i was demoing those bugs) @Rob Guthrie

JG

PS – is there any way for me to see my old notifications? The quantity of these obliterated my ability to see any of my real notifications :/

JG

I got another 7 of these 15 minutes ago @Rob Guthrie @Greg Kan
