Secretary/admin manager
There's a chunk of work to manage the emails and survey responses, plus setting up and managing our files etc. Mark A and Tina P think we ought to find someone to do this for us. Important that the person is strong with Google Docs (as we're not!). We have drafted a JD for a voluntary admin person.
The Paekakariki Housing Trust group needs a voluntary administrator/secretary. You’ll be good with spreadsheets, be ace at setting up and keeping in order a Google drive set of files, able to take good monthly meeting notes and organise meetings. You’ll be entrusted to keep your local community’s details confidential. You’ll be working with contributing to an awesome collective of people doing something exciting to make a difference about one of the biggest issues facing us as a community. More detail on the project: www.paekakarikihousingtrust.org For enquiries PM Mark Amery or Tina Pope

The more Tina and I looked ahead in terms of forward work plans the more we realised how vital this role is.

Please don't call the position secretary as this will likely be an elected position????

This thought had struck me Holly but I was worried that we really need her on Paekakariki Online, and I worry that that project just won't have the attention - and this Housing Trust role is potentially quite a lot of work. But maybe I am worrying unduly - I probably am. Or maybe better the idea is for us to put it out to the Facebook local Gods and see how it goes?

yes @markamery same thought struck me. So perhaps offering it to the FB gods isn't such a bad idea.If there are no bites Linda might be okay to set up the role for another to walk into?

Yep

This idea sounds good - let's see if someone else comes forward before I get overly keen

well done all and sorry for lack of input. and great if Linda can manage this. Might be helpful to get a rough idea on average hours per week that might be expected of the volunteer. And should it be thought of as more than just an admin sec - something with a bit more input on design and programming. If needed we could ask Jennifer Margaret (Aimes street, active social worker, recently retired) if she was interested - she and her husband Grant have already expressed to support as social investors

my friend Linda is interested, her reply 'I'd be happy to put my hand up for that, although depending on what work I get into, I might have to step back after a bit. It could work out sweet as, though... Won't know what life will look like until I'm into the swing of work.' -- should l add her to Loomio?
