Develop a LearnHOT document
While both OSM and HOT have many things in common, the LearnOSM document has things like "Surveying with a GPS" and "Field Papers" that don't apply to HOT remote mapping, and necessary information like the Task Manager is buried in the "Coordination" section, and there is nothing (currently) about Validation training.
I think a streamlined document, focused on just what a new remote mapper needs to know would have these effects:
Improve the quality of work of new mappers, because it can address topics specific to HOT/Task Manager.
Improve the rate that interested volunteers become mappers, because there is less chance of 'information overload' in a shorter document, and a new mapper can move from the document straight to contributing, instead of hunting through wiki pages and the Other Guides section of LearnOSM.

This could also be a good place for Tallguy's common mistakes pages.

I think having a curriculum with the different types of mappers makes sense. So maybe something like "I'm a mapper who wants to help remotely" takes you to a list of the modules to go through.

I see the LearnOSM document is modular, and maybe what we need is a LearnHOT 'Track' made of just the modules a new HOTtie needs, and not a whole seperate document.
Whatever the method, my premise is the same; We need LearnHOT training, as well as a LearnOSM training.
