Demonstration proposal: let’s go! Closed Wed 23 Mar 2016 2:08PM
This the proposal description. Here you can explain the proposed course of action and give enough detail so that everyone can make a well informed decision.
To participate in the proposal, choose one of these options:
- Agree: “I agree with this and want it to go ahead.”
- Abstain: “I am happy for the group to decide without me.”
- Disagree: “I think we can probably do better.”
- Block: “I have strong objections to this proposal and am not OK with it going ahead.”
When you have chosen, you’ll be prompted for a short statement to explain why you feel the way you do. You can change your position at any time while the proposal is still open.

Digital Economy Journal workshop Closed Wed 13 Apr 2016 3:29PM
We have been discussing this idea since February after the DEN annual meeting, where a group of people mainly from Highwire, Lancaster initially had the original idea of creating a DEN CDT journal. Myself and a few more people joined the team and we eventually developed a full structure/strategy of how the DEN Journal would ideally be.
The main aim is to bring together students from all the CDTs, explore potential collaborations between them (a potential co-written paper?), give them the chance to practice writing and reviewing papers and build a Digital Economy journal that might go public if we take a further step. For the time being, the workshop will revolve around presenting how this Journal would work and get feedback from all of you since it's made to facilitate our work and develop our academic skills and peer reviewing.
Dan, Chris, Nikolai, Ieva, Elisavet please don't hesitate to add your comments on what has been discussed already. With Felicia's help we already booked an academic to come and give us a talk on peer reviewing papers.

I think this is a fab idea - would be interested in hearing more about this outside the workshop too!

As you know, I think this is a great idea, so it would be great if you started a thread so anyone with an interest could show that and give some input on what the workshop should consist of.
