This is your opportunity to have a say in the theme for Burning Nest 2025!

The arts team are excited to explore a theme based around the magic and mystery that exists at the heart of Nest. We would like to choose a theme inspired by our collective experiences. At its core, Burning Nest is the intertwining of hundreds of stories woven together to create a unique fairytale. It is a mystical realm where fae folk, forest creatures and trolls alike lead us on unexpected adventures into the unknown. We celebrate the inner child, the natural beauty of our enchanted glade, and we know that magic is everywhere, as long as you know where to look…

Idea submissions will close on Wednesday 30th October and Arts will pick a theme from this thread to be announced when tickets go on sale.

"Beneath the Aether"

You are invited to descend into a hidden realm where the veil between worlds grows thin, and the undergrowth hums with ancient magic. A world of glowing mushrooms, tangled roots, and bioluminescent creatures awaits; a secret place where the ordinary fades, leaving only the rumble of the earth and the pounding pulse of life beneath the aether.

Aether: A clear sky, the heavens, the realm beyond. In ancient science, the term “aether” refers to the matter that fills the universe beyond the Earth. 

By venturing beneath what lies above, we return to our Earth with a fresh perspective, ready to observe the real, ethereal magic with which we coexist.
