www.pij.org.nz website

I notice that pij.org.nz is down at the moment. There is a login box and a message which says:
"http://pij.org.nz/ is marked private by its owner. If you were invited to view this site, please log in below. Read more about privacy settings."

It this because work is in progress, or is this an error?

Must admit I hadn't noticed until you brought it to my attention. Is the site/group still active or just in abeyance as people deal with their lives/work/winter?

Stephen Olsen is admin of the site and he must have marked it private. I noticed this a few weeks ago and wondered why this was the case. There is no active reason for it to be so that I know of.

Scoop still very much hopes that Public Eyes can be brought into existence soon however for this to happen there will need to be a credible plan to execute its launch.

At this point in time there is neither plan nor trustees to execute said plan. Rod Oram decided he did not want to proceed as a trustee. Margaret is interested in proceeding I understand and New Scoop when it is ready to go will be in a position to support a Public Eyes launch - however it is not our current focus for obvious reasons.

I really need to discuss this with Margaret and Alison and get back to you all.

In the meantime it seems a bit of a shame that pij.org.nz is not live.

I'll check my Wordpress emails. There was an issue with payment. I had talked with Alison about swapping out content with an update... that never arrived... or otherwise repurposing it all...

I'd be keen to see it live and can make a contribution to make that possible. Lets catch up and I can brief you on what is happening Stephen.
