How to deal better with long comments? Is there a way to allow just 20 first lines to appear?

Hello every body. Within a group we use Loomio software to share press articles or organizations statements. It gives a long thread, not so easy to consult. Is there a way to insert markdown code so that for instance only the 20 first lines of each comment will appear?
