Well this is a strange but good feeling…

Inbox is making it so much easier for me to get through everything on my normally overflowing Loomio to-read list.

Uh oh… now that I've reached this point I might actually have to go try to clear my email inbox (eep!) …no more excuse to procrastinate :p

This feature has changed my life.

Muting/leaving a discussion, seeing mentions, and a sidebar or dropdown format are things I'm super keen to spend a weekend on verysoon.

And... I'm pretty sure it's time for me to take a dive into angular..

@robertguthrie the accessibility session at #nethui has me questioning how well angular plays with screen readers?

@richarddbartlett I would guess that screenreaders read from the in memory DOM - in which case angular apps would work fine.

@robertguthrie any plans to make this the default home page?

I've completely ditched the current home page and now solely navigate by the inbox and the groups nav - I realise there are more features coming but surely this is better than what's up currently?

Same here... I sue inbox exclusively and haven't been to the old homepage since it was released.

@robertguthrie I'm noticing the counts on my inbox are often out - e.g. there will be an 8 next to the item in the inbox list but there is only one unread comment when I go to the discussion

@joshuavial yeah, it's broken (hence why it hasn't been released yet). Inbox has been Rob's feature and he's been away for the past 2 weeks. Should all be sorted out shortly though!

The faces seem to dominate for some reason. Maybe they need to be a little bit smaller or with rounded corners or something? Also, what if there are lots of participants?

@matthewbartlett @jonlemmon - I like the faces and don't find them dominating personally. If there are lots of people then maybe we could just show the top 6 contributors.

I love JV's idea and I think it's actually the same thing - all proposals show until you dismiss them.

The thing you seem to be unhappy with is:
Motions will not show in the inbox if you have voted on them.

This means they behave differently to discussions... because there is no voting on disucssions. I think this is unclear to users and not the best thing.

I'm very keen to bring in Muting, which would allow you to prevent a discussion/motion from coming back to the inbox even when there is new activity. But it would be a choice for the user, rather deciding they don't want to see the motion after having cast their position.

@robertguthrie i'm pretty sure motions also don't show if you have read the discussion (which I think is undesirable).

Ahhhhh! Just occurred to me that as part of our participatory design process with the community, the product owner should be reading through the feature ideas group regularly and picking out priorities. Duh! @richarddbartlett

@matthewbartlett that's 'product coordinator' please. As far as I'm concerned the problems with the inbox and dashboard are going to be resolved by the comprehensive new designs. Incrementing one in the direction of the other doesn't feel like a good use of energy.
