Overview of the translation process for translators
If you're interested in helping to translate, talk to Nati: [email protected]
Here's how it works:
- Create an account on Transifex and join the Loomio project
- Start by reading the Translation style guide and the technical guide
- Join an available language or request a new language team and then you can get underway!
Things to keep in mind:
- Ideally each language will have at least two people collaborating together, to ensure a high quality translation. Language teams can coordinate on Loomio.
- Because Loomio is in constant development, the translation is an ongoing process. Be prepared for the possibility that parts of your work will go out of date shortly after completion.
Thanks so much for your help, and don't hesitate to ask any questions :)

That's excellent @moxybeirut! We've had a lot of people asking about Loomio in Arabic. Have a read through the guidelines and let me know if you have any questions as you get underway :)
It will be the first right-to-left language on Loomio, so I imagine there could be some interesting technical challenges for us to work though.

I'm learning some Esperanto now... In some weeks I will have more time and maybe I can start a translation.
(Stop laughing) XD
For ex. ipernity is a social net many esperanto-speakers use (just because its in esperanto) but they use it in a "cultural way" more as a discussion network although its built mainly for photos... So it would be great to join this two worlds, so close in its humanistic principles.
Still laughing? See this TEDX

I think @mixirving mentioned something about Esperanto happening? Yep here it is at 29% already!

Hi @moxybeirut
I just noticed that you posted about translating Loomio to Arabic. I have started translating a little while ago and so far around 40% of the source text got translated.
It would be great if you could join :)

@zombilechuck I have completed the translation. Maybe you can review it and answer in the Esperanto Translation thread if something seems wrong?

Hiii.
It's been long time since my last collaboration in loomio. Lots of things in my personal professional life.
I'm coming back soon! Promise!

@waelalsaad thanks for your suggestion of pinning the discussion. At the moment we can't do that, but I've done the next best thing, I've added important links to the group description.
Keep giving great feedback!!
