Some organizational tweaks
This thread contains a few tensions and proposals to solve them. Mostly little things that continually proved to be to squishy to catch.
This proposal thread is the outcome of a work meeting and we immediately wanted it up for voting.
A total of 5 tensions was grouped into two proposals.

Need to clear up roles around gov circle, relieve Griff from facilitating community meeting, step up the game of gov maintainer role. Closed Sat 16 Feb 2019 6:01PM
Amended proposal after Community Meeting #61:
"The roles of host and facilitator of community meeting are now separated. Facilitator role stays with Griff, host role is accountable for required actions for organization and documentation as per the original proposal)"
Proposal
Merge the roles on rows 32 & 36 - gov circle maintainer & governance decision documentation and pass the role to the gov circle triad.
Formalize the action steps of the role that have to be carried out every week in order to have a proper community meeting with all cats herded.
New role accountabilities
Merge responsibilities of the roles and add responsibility for stream metadata edits:
- organize a weekly community meeting (gov-lab host)
- write posts for our medium & wiki with guidance for future DACs
- Git hub Gov repo maintenance
- Make sure that notes are taken (a notetaker should be recruited before the meeting)
- Edit and Upload notes after community meeting
- Agreed proposals shall be added to approved policies on Wiki
- When stream is completed go to youtube and edit:
- title of meeting
- add to community meetings playlist
- add youtube link to notes
Action Steps
1 - Accept gov-circle-maintainer (on line 36) role for the week
2 - Appoint notetaker for next meeting
3 - Prepare meeting notes according to governance-meeting-template.md
4 - Announce meeting a few hours ahead of time, by describing:
* exact time
* loomio decisions for discussion
* if a fireside chat is to be expected
* meeting room in jit.si (usually https://meet.jit.si/giveth-dac) (Edited)
* don't forget to @room and the appointed notetaker
5 - Enter room ahead of time and check if streaming works, by starting it with youtube key
6 - Share notes link in Jitsi chat
7- Announce again who will facilitate the meeting, who will take minutes and who will take care of any follow-up
8 - Hold meeting
9 - Close meeting by appointing maintainer for following week

I am down to decentralize this role and act out the new accountabilites together with the other unicorns sharing that role with me.

"organize a weekly gov meeting (gov-lab host)" what does this mean? What is the weekly gov meeting you speak of here? Who is the gov circle triad? I very much like this idea in general but i want more details... are there 3 folks already proposed for the triad role? How liquid is it? Does Griff actually want to "be relieved" from facilitating the meeting? I think he's a great facilitator and ideally he still facilitates a good portion of them. I want these meetings to stay productive.

Lack of threaded discussion technology to use for conversations that stretch over months Closed Sat 16 Feb 2019 6:01PM
An instance of discourse is live on https://forum.giveth.io
I invited some of you already - if I did not invite you, don't worry the forum is open to join.
Want to bridge relevant categories to Riot rooms in a next step.
We are kinda using loomio for this, but because that is not the primary purpose of the platform, it does not work really well in that regard. Also we would benefit from "stickied-topics"
Related tension: Need to better maintain a list of working docs that is easily found.
Proposal
Run a self hosted discourse and establish real forum technology as a complement to our current toolset.

Would love to setup a forum for us. I think our discussion quality could improve a lot by taking this functionality away from loomio.

I see a lot of value in this. Communities should have both synchronous and asynchronous communication. This allows bigger topics to get explored

I would hack Loomio or github for this as oppose to creating another place for discussion
