Independent Inquiry into Child Sex Allegations against Judiciary & MP's
Reuters has reported last week that hundreds of allegations against Westminster MP's and Lords for child sex abuse have been systematically covered up in the past 20-30 years. It has been reported that the British Judiciary have not only helped cover up these sex crimes and alleged pedophile ring, but that a number of high profile Judges are actually accused of the same and have close ties to the other accused. This was not well reported in NZ media (of course, but a quick Google search will reveal all the facts on the table: "Westminster pedophile ring". (http://in.reuters.com/article/2014/07/07/britain-abuse-idINL6N0PI4CZ20140707 )
The NZ Parliament and Judiciary operates under the same "Crown" system - and numerous books and 'leaks' alleging our Government MP's and Judiciary are also sex offenders have been covered up and suppressed by the Courts (and media) - see Greg Hallett books online, also under 'Non fiction' in some libraries around NZ (Otago Uni library being one). These books listed a large number of both Judges and MP's involved in child sex rings in NZ- but the Auckland High Court refused to hear the evidence and indeed suppressed it.
Leighton Smith from Newstalk ZB interviewed journalist Derryn Hinch last week, who was locked up in an Australian jail for exposing pedophiles the Courts had protected - in this interview Leighton and Derryn both discuss the recent Westminster revelations and the fact that our own MP's and Judges are most likely also involved in the same crimes. Interview here: http://www.newstalkzb.co.nz/auckland/video/zbtv-derryn-hinch-11jul2014
There have also been a number of high profile cases of MP's and Judges accused of covering up, being involved in, or making excuses for alleged pedophilia in recent months and years (search : Judge Philippa Cunningham; and Brendan Horan for two recent examples)
An Australian High Court Judge has also come out last week and said pedophilia and incest should now be decriminalized and treated the same as homosexuality, ie, made legal (report online)
We have also seen high profile British 'entertainers' who were close friends with, and even 'Honored' by the English Crown who have now been exposed as child sex offenders who were protected for many, many years (Rolph Harris MBE, and Jimmy Savile OBE).
I am proposing that The Internet Party, if gaining enough seats in parliament, insist on an independent (non Crown agency) investigation into all of the suppressed and public evidence on child sex abuse and child sex abuse rings in our Judiciary and Government. The Judges that are letting pedophiles go free, or suppressing details so that they are protected and allowed to continue offending, must be investigated - as should all of the evidence presented in the books by persecuted author Greg Hallett ('NZ a Blackmailer's Guide' and others- all still available on line).
The goal of such an open and independent investigation is to move towards a society which is not legalizing and decriminalizing pedophilia and child abuse, but that makes sure those who commit such crimes are exposed, not protected and then treated appropriately.

Yes, 100%. Whatever it takes, in every direction, to take all forms of vileness and corruption out of Parliament and the judiciary (including the corruption of incompetence, carelessness, inattention to the truly just determination of proceedings).

@cohenglass "An Australian High Court Judge has also come out and said pedophilia and incest should now be decriminalized and treated the same as homosexuality, ie, made legal)."
I have never seen a law against incest or pedophilia.
Incest:
Is it illegal for two 30 year old siblings to have sex with each other? If not, then "incest" is legal.
I've never read the laws on this point well enough to care. It's never been a "risk" for me.
pedophilia:
That is sexual arousal relating to the attraction to pre-pubescent people.
That word is useless. Most would include sex with a 12 year old, but that's "too old" for pedophilia. That's ephebophilia. Also, pedophilia is the desire/attraction, and doesn't necessarily require the act.
Most of the time, when people use the words "incest" and "pedophilia" they are lying. I'm not saying @cohenglass is, but that at the least, he is confused by those that are.
Rape is wrong. Rape that's incest is wrong. Rape that's young/old is wrong. Making up new names for a spectrum or "wrongness" was done to minimize rape. Oh, that's just regular "sexual assault". Yawn. Call me when it's sexual assault of a minor, or sexual assault of a dependent, those are "real crimes".
So there's no need to make a distinction between incest and pedophilia, or relate them to homosexuality. The judge in question looked to be insulting homosexuals, rather than calling for a review of rape laws to make rape legal, but only if the non-consenting person is family, he was disparaging homosexuals. He should have brought out the deviant trifecta and also compared homosexuals to bestiality. That's often in the list of the gay-haters.
Pulling up quotes from old homophobic judges to indicate that judges want to make rape legal is absurd and does more to hurt your argument than forward it.
That, and the comments seem to be factually inaccurate as well. The "pedophilia" part appears nowhere in the judges words, from what I could find on them in the news. It appears that part was added by others to make his comments sound worse.

Derryn Hynch comes across as a complete moron with some kind of weirdo axe to grind. Are we actually looking at where this is heading? Are we truly convinced that child perves are everywhere, in all walks of life and all through government, police and judiciary?; hell no! Nutters like this need help. Trying to pull down a government is an act of treason and should be treated this way. No one has the guts to stand up and say "enough is enough!" Well, I'm doing that now. Is pedophilia all around? Who the hell cares. I, like hundreds of millions of intelligent and well educated people around the world are absolutely fed up with this whole topic! Thank god there are no witches or we would be burning them at the stake in Wellington! Thank goodness there are no Reds under the bed or we would be locking people up and destroying their lives and careers over nothing more than hysteria and the sick weakness of certain groups in society to perpetuate these witch hunts for their own ends! We must not become part of this or, as we have done in the past as a world society, we will fail! I have absolutely no belief in this witch hunt at all. Does that make people think I support denial; who the hell cares - right thinking people don't. Hynch and his zealot, fruitcake believers are poison!

While I wouldn't go so far as Antony I see no prima facie case for an inquiry here.
Billy Mckee Sun 13 Jul 2014 8:30PM
I support an independent enquiry into child sex offences in NZ..
Cohen Glass Mon 14 Jul 2014 9:22AM
Who wouldn't want an independent enquiry? Based on the Reuters article I have quoted above, it is rampant among Crown Ministers and agencies. @hugheldredgrigg sees "no prima facie case" lol- try reading the evidence and links I have mentioned maybe? Unbelievable. Hinch actually did time in jail for exposing what the judiciary tried to cover up. Similar cases have happened here. Enough is enough.
Guntram Shatterhand Mon 14 Jul 2014 11:26AM
The Reuters article is discussing the UK. It seems a massive leap to presume that because such a problem exists in the UK it must also exist here.

Colin Davies Fri 18 Jul 2014 6:39AM
Of course I have to agree to this.
Just because we don't know that the country is full of sex offenders, doesn't mean it isn't. Possibly a commission or enquiry could be coupled with some form of amnesty, only on those who have been knowledgeable.
