"Mission" is a great term!
Are you thinking that the audience will split into two groups? I am thinking maybe a few different teams?

Sounding good, though you need some basic elements for them to play off each other. Ideas like material objects, desire and greed.

Maybe something fun like coupons with determining nature of possible traits?

I think the idea is we are supposed to be having a 'DIY murder club' open creative day. This is the example constructs that people use to create their DIY murder. If you want Cedric you can provide offers for elements and traits. I also think Greg has done some research into characters as well.
In terms of groups it would probably be easier to manage if we had set mini-murders in multiple groups which can change after death into different teams I guess. For instance group 1 go off, two people die and they both decide to go to 'ghost society' and meet with other ghosts from other groups. In ghost society then these people can have their own game trail. Perhaps with coupons or tasks or motives to be given out to other players. It'd kinda be cool if everyone ends up dead.

Lots of pumpkin pie would be awesome on the night, anyone know how to make Yum yums like that?

For all crew and anyone interested in joining the cast!
Commitments are 1-4pm for the next two saturdays and 6-10.30 on Saturday 31st, We want to develop the remainder of the murder mystery story with the actors around the locations, so this Saturday's meetup will take place around Wellington hospital and then we'll head back to nominate actors for the characters and do some casual improv within that space.
While in true Homies style we are expecting to have a role for everyone interested, if not cast you still have the option of being a spooky wildcard character on the night :)
Some confidence in your improvizing ability would definitely help, but there will still be a loose script in the form of a code. Players will bring you cards from a standard deck, and each of their cards determines what information you reveal to them.
Also guys I had such a breakthrough tonight and all these characters' stories are fitting together soooo well :)
