Transfer info from wiki to LearnOSM

should be gradually closed down. It has the wrong title, which makes it difficult to find. LearnOSM is the better system, and should contain the information from this wiki.
Request that the maintainers of LearnOSM check sections of this wiki, transfer any relevent info to LearnOSM, then remove those sections of the wiki.

The initial parts are on the Tasking Manager and need rewriting anyway as TM2 is different in many ways. This may be the ideal time to add something to LearnOSM, and delete the old info from the wiki.
A more appropriate heading in the wiki would be 'HOT mapping guide'. The aim being that the wiki entry is very brief, if possible mainly linking to the different chapter headings in LearnOSM. I specify chapter headings because it does not immediately spring to mind that 'LearnOSM' will include sections on subjects which some may consider advanced.
By keeping some kind of current wiki article it allows the quick production of information which can subsequently be considered for LearnOSM.
A lot of the remaining information on the current wiki came from either Severin, who may be willing to provide it again, with some of it from me & I'm willing to repeat myself if it will help.

Have done some more research & have found instructions on assisting with LearnOSM.

The only issue here, as pointed by Séverin and Kate, is that, due to different licensing, it's not possible to transfer the info in the wiki to LearnOSM :(
