Should pirates in the US go along with European parties and back Direct Democracy? If so, in what form?

Hmmm, it is important to protect the minority voice. I feel like I like representational government but our system is broken. I would rather fix the problems than completely scrap it but i'm not sure. It does all depend on how strong and centralized the government is as well. For example: If we all lived in independent communes the problems with direct democracy would get much smaller.

yes, in the form of the 28th amendment, calling for ballot initiatives to be added to the US constitution.

Section 1:
In addition to the Rights of congress to pass bills, the Bills shall be presented to public and be subject to vote.

public proposals may be either initiated by congress with a %50 vote in both houses, or by the people, by petition, constituting a number of signatures not more than %10 of the populace in at least three fourths of all states.

Section 2:
The wording of public bills shall not use language judged to be above "11th grade" American English, nor shall contain more than 1,000 words.

Section 3:
For a proposal to become law, it shall require a two thirds super majority. The except is to repeal legislation enacted by Representatives, which shall require a %60 majority.
