Can project Cahoots be of use for jailbreak?

Hi this is Marcin Koziej.
It wasn't mentioned on the list, but in spring I proposed •cahoots• project, and Rysiek and Czesiek from Warsaw hackerspce jumped in.

I can see now that goals of jailbreak are very similar (although we've put the social networking on a lower priority)
We've started some initial hacking using LXC virtual hosts and Debian testing.
User integration is done via LDAP.
Setup/Upgrade is done with Ansible automation, and can also be distributed with Docker.
Tell me what you think, we can collaborate on that!

Sounds legit. How do you propose to integrate that? Will the cahoot team be able to provide support AND assimilate users' feedback in a productive way? :-)

we can use some help and in general the development model of cahoots is easy to split among people. To implement a feature you take the current cahoots system, and write down commands which install it/set it up as an ansible script

That can be fun. My other projects include a need for "in-a-box" installations for intentional communities (mesh net + a bunch of net apps)

Z tego to na stronie piszę ArkOS jest dedykowany na Raspberry Pi tylko, i do tego jest we wczesnej fazie rozwoju. Z racji tego ze nie dysponuje Raspberry nie wiem jak to się w praniu sprawdza.
Ale warto mieć na ten projekt oko bo może się nam przydać jak przystąpimy do naszego długoterminowego celu...

Ja będę miał Raspi jak mi zięć odda. Chętnie potestuję w naszej podróży po Grecji jako mobilny węzeł sieci.

żywi? będę miał zaraz wersję 0.01 Cahoots która instaluje się na zadanym hoście z debianem i stawia dzielone konta/maila z webmailem/shella/strony internetowe/db. można by dodać szybko owncloud i jakąś sieć społecznościową (bo już łatwo to będzie zrobić). Czy ktoś ma domenę z dobrym certyfikatem SSL?

Ja mam domenę z podpisanym przez siebie certem, jak by trzeba było to mogę użyczyć pod testy... Druga sprawa to nie pamiętam ale ktoś dawał darmowe certy tylko nie pamiętam kto

Good idea... Goals is same and i think integration is what we need. More people, more chance to success :)
