Future values of the wider Brooklyn area

In the submissions to the Kaka project, there were some key values underpinning people's vision for the area.

Two that the steering group have identified are

a) connectedness and belonging
a desire for bringing people together; allowing for people to meet both as individuals and groups. Central to this is about integrating rather than separating different generations.

b) ecological consiciousness:
being aware of our own part in maintaining environment; recognising value of ecology for the community

c) self-sustaining community
meeting our own needs in the community
