e-NABLE Vancouver Donation Redistribution
Proposed Project:
Kristopher Uebelhardt, the leader of e-NABLE Vancouver, is shutting down his chapter. He has collected around $2,500 worth of donations promised to be used for building prosthetics hands and wishes to transfer this money to other chapters to effectively use them on his behalf.
The e-NABLE Vancouver Donation Redistribution Proposal aims to facilitate this transfer of funds. By redistributing the current donations collected by the e-NABLE Vancouver Chapter to other e-NABLE chapters, the proposal will support the transition of the Vancouver chapter towards its eventual shutdown by providing Kristopher with a charitable receipt while also giving financial assistance to other chapters in need.
The donations initially collected by e-NABLE Vancouver were promised to be used for building local prosthetic hands. Without this proposal, donating the funds to the e-NABLE collective fund might result in their use for administrative purposes, which would not align with the donor’s original intentions. Therefore, this proposal aims to fulfill the donor’s purpose by redistributing them to chapters who can effectively use them as they were initially meant to be. A list of guidelines for fund usage for the participating chapters is described below:
Permissible Uses:
3D printer filament
Necessary materials to build hands
Local shipping within the country of the chapter
Prohibited Uses:
3D printers or 3D printer maintenance
Tools for building
International shipping
Marketing materials
Any other expenses not directly related to building prosthetics
Process & Chapters Involved:
This redistribution process will occur through the e-NABLE collective fund, where Kristopher Uebelhardt will donate $2,500. These funds will be equally distributed to the following chapters for $500 each:
e-NABLE Winnipeg (Leader: Riyan Zahid)
e-NABLE Nepal (Surendra Shrestha: Chairman, Binod Dangi: Treasurer)
e-NABLE Indonesia (Leader: Rafly Ilmyansyah)
Handy Hearts [San Diego] (Leader: Kacey Zheng)
Collegiate E-Nable 3D Prosthetics [NYC] (Leader: Ari Korpus)
Expected Results:
Through this proposal, we will:
Assist Kristopher Uebelhardt in shutting down the e-NABLE Vancouver chapter by redistributing collected donations and by providing him a charitable donation receipt
Support 5 e-NABLE chapters by giving them each a portion of the funds for use of building prosthetic hands
Ensure that donations are being used as promised to the e-NABLE Vancouver chapter donors
Continue to support e-NABLE’s mission in building prosthetic hands for individuals in need
Estimated Completion Time:
We estimate that this redistribution process will take around one month.
Funding:
The proposal requests $2,500, provided by Kristopher Uebelhardt, to be redistributed to other chapters through the e-NABLE collective fund, as specified earlier.
My Background:
[Riyan Zahid] I recently established a chapter for e-NABLE in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and have built three hands with my team in the past few months. I’ve been working closely with Kristopher on this and have been helping him out with shutting down his chapter through this proposal.

Sad to see Vancouver go, but I am thankful that they are able to share their funds.

I am in touch with E-Nable Winnipeg and I think that the smaller chapters could definitely use the extra funding for filament.
