Introductions and Ice Breakers
How about we introduce ourselves and when a new user joins the group, the person accepting the member request will welcome them here. Let's try to see if we can get to know each other.

I'm Sea from the Sacramento GA. This is a challenging job to arrange for the gathering. Looking forward to having fun there.

Warm welcome to @sea and gratitude for grounding us in Sacramento and your wise words on right relationship with indigenous peoples

Tricia, thanks for putting us on the map. What does the @ do, placed before a name? I remember the first few glorious days, the conflicts and oppression, the near death of our GA more than once, and now, though we disagree, we are managing to work together.

The @ button gets you to the person's profile (which shows what other groups they are in and not much more)

I'm from Occupy Philly. I taught yoga on the first day. I helped relocate the homeless after the encampment was evicted. Helped out on NatGat1 because I didn't want to see good people being arrested for exercising their human and civil rights.
Been online organizing for almost 3 years and on the ground community organizer in Philly for 25 years.
