Do we become partners in the Peer Value Conference?
Hi all!
Yesterday I launched the Peer Value Conference, http://peervalueconf.eu , held on 2 and 3 September. I am helping out James Burke of the P2P Foundation with communications. As soon as I launched some of you have asked me: why not become partners. I think this is a good question.
The options to do so are:
1. Become an official partner in line with 5 other organizations.
2. Become a co-organizing partner.
The role of OuiShare has been to invite the networks to the conference and to prepare the communication. I have not been involved with the tracks of the program. There has been an organizing team of scientists / commons specialists in the field. Also P2P Foundation has largely prepared the program i.e. James himself.

Do we become partners in the Peer Value Conference? Closed Mon 4 Jul 2016 8:01AM
Hello everyone.. this proposal has already closed. I only see two responses. I briefed everyone by Telegram before. More people saw it coming up and have responded positive before. I guess the result is that we are heading to be partners. Either a full partner which is very well possible since other full partners are also into a limited role sometimes, such as 'offering space', or a media partner for the spreading of the invitation in our networks. I'll speak to James Burke about it this afternoon. He has discussed it in his team.

Had a look at the site, the topics, the participants, the intentions, the collaborators: Looks good, smells good, feels good. I'm 100% in favour of becoming an official partner & collaborating. I am personally interested in attending/participating.

Yes! Yes! Yes! - I am personally interested in attending/participating too. (I need to check with my family)
Re media partner option we could do something with OuiShare Radio - the topic area of this conference is something I am looking for a way to deep dive into. ;-)
Suggestions welcome! I need to be careful with my time - but could make it work.

@amandajansen could you tell us more in detail what would the difference be between the options 1 and 2? I think it is up to you to express a preference for one of the two options, as I think both are good.

Hi @francesca, I think both are fine. But.. now we didn't form the tracks it's quiet commons orientated. Also the team of James doesn't see how we could be full partners and tends to make it a media partnership. Until now what we offer is: my / our network which is quiet OuiShare based. Bernie offers to make OuiShare Radio and @berniejmitchell maybe we could also do something towards the event? Then again: I don't know the roles of the other partners either. I just asked James how we could contribute in addition to them :)

James Burke just mentioned to have had a discussion in his team. For now the most relevant role they can see is that OuiShare would become a media partner. James is wondering what we could offer as a partner. What do you guys think?
