Is PublicEyes Dead in the Water?
Not a lot of activity here of late. Bomber is already writing his eulogy for Scoop on TDB. I'd love to see him proved wrong on this. Aotearoa needs what PublicEyes/ not-for-profit Scoop is trying to do.

That's a great relief @alastairthompson1 . That site looks good, and I'm particularly exited by the plans to open source Scoop's tech. Is there another Loomio group for the Scoop Foundation members to make collective decisions, or have you chosen another platform?
Alastair Thompson Tue 22 Mar 2016 12:16PM
Glad you are pleased :)
There is a Scoop Loomio group yes. Scoop.loomio.org ( http://Scoop.loomio.org ).
We haven't yet opened up a members group and haven't had any cause to make any collective decisions yet either.
The first call in terms of direct engagement will be with contributors, who have have volunteered to assist.

Sounds great. So what (if any) is the intended future of this Loomio group?
Alastair Thompson Wed 23 Mar 2016 7:48AM
I don't think there is an intended future for it. It has been superseded by events.

Ka pai. Can I suggest announcing that to the folks who joined this group (unless you already have and I missed the memo ;) ) and putting a note to that effect in the group description, maybe directing people to the Scoop Loomio group?

Hi Strypey,
Bomber has been writing his eulogies for Scoop for some time. Public Eyes has been reconstitued as the Scoop Foundation for Public Interest Journalism, a charitable Trust Board, which now owns the Scoop Publishing Company.
You can join the Scoop Foundation as a member via takebackthenews.nz so far we have nearly 1000 members.
