Document Federation Protocol Closed Sun 2 Sep 2012 12:32AM
Although a rudimentary document technically exists, it is outdated, and not terribly useful to anyone wanting to implement it / work with it. It would be a good addition to our docs, and may be useful for helping people figure out how to get federation into a layer.

Can't have outdated docs laying around, we should either write them over or get rid of them.

Yeah. The protocol and an explanation of how it works will be important for future development. There are a lot of different ideas about how to make federation better, but first, we need to show others how federation works in the first place for us.

@Sean:
"but first, we need to show others how federation works in the first place for us."
I couldn't have said it better! :)
