Engagement OKRs

EP Elisa Puccioni Public Seen by 9

Last set of OKRs to discuss between the members.

As many of us won't be probably attending the July's meeting, I'd appreciate if you can take a few minutes of your time between now and the 9th of July and review the points that came out from our brainstorming and community inputs.

It's a long list, so don't worry if you cannot contribute to each point, just write your ideas/comments for the points you feel are important/you have something to say. I will try to collate all the ideas and present/discuss them at the next board meeting.
thanks all!

The website could have links to organisations like Maptime, GeoRabble, GeoGeeks etc. in one central list with a link to them*. It would be fairly easy to curate now we are out of the pandemic but that leaves GCA and others perhaps out in the cold and would this cause indifference?
We already have the calendar of events which I would like to see others contribute to. A monthly news letter could then have a link to the list of events and perhaps highlight one or two of these.
    * Work in progress once my partner is back on their feet

  • Involve more women and Pacific people in the organisation

    • 1. How?

We could work through the membership database and reach out to island nations with a personal email asking if they know anyone that may want to become a member.

  • N.B. Current stats for gender are only for the most recent 111 members.

So the question is what are we trying to aspire to that is both able to be validated and achievable in a set time? e.g. (sn I am not suggesting the values)
" That 40% of known genders are other than male and that all Oceania countries plus Timor Leste have at least 5 members per million and all countries have at least one member where the population is greater than 100,000"

List of countries in or near Oceania with other countries removed for clarity. Population is from circa 2021 worldbook...
