Hi everyone - save the date for our AGM, which will be online on the morning of Thu 23rd.
The agenda will be published in this thread and emailed to P6 members in the next week.
During the previous fortnight, there will have been:
the Co-op Development Bodies Forum (10th Feb)
Future Co-ops weekend ('From Crisis to #coops') (10-12th Feb, deadline for bookings, 26 Jan)
Disabled people and Co-opsevent in Leeds (free, 14th Feb)First general meeting of workers.coop (16 Feb, 12.30-2pm, online)
a Radical Routes gathering (18-19 Feb, online)
So this seems like an opportunity for a general discussion to share items of importance, explore trends, synergies and conflicting agendas and to think about how Platform 6 Development Co-op can become a more effective, useful part of the co-operative ecology/solidarity economy.
If you have ideas for particular agenda items or discussion themes, feel free to use this thread to share them.
We are looking for active new members and directors, particularly people who like organising other people!

Many thanks to all of you engaged in this project, especially @Cath M in Bentley (A Commune in the North/Radical Routes/Platform6) . I'm afraid and very much regret (see Cath's comment about gender balance in P6 membership) but I don't have the capacity to become involved. I've been a 'member' for some time, but not that you'd have noticed. I'm struggling with trying to reduce commitments as I approach retirement and getting involved in initiatives where I know I can be useful. I need to be realistic about where to put my limited energy and availability, so I will withdraw from P6 membership now. I hope the AGM goes well and wish you all the best of luck in the future.

Here is a document intended to define what Platform 6 is and what it does. It describes all the sociocratic management circles and all the projects that P6 is involved with. There are many gaps (highlighted) where, for example, sociocratic management circles have no members so it also serves to identify areas of capacity shortage. It is presented here to inform discussions at and in advance of the AGM.
