Community Connectedness and Celebrations
It was recognised that there needs to be more connectedness within the community to unite generations and celebrate the area. We envisage events that bring together and celebrate the talents and diversity within our community. There could be small or large community events. Events such as outdoor movie nights and street barbeque days could be used to unite the community on a localised scale.
What could we do? Would you like to be part of a group to organise an event?

Krull st planting!

This Sunday at 1pm
Join WCC Park Ranger Paulo Fuiono, Krull St gardener Tom and the Vogelmorn Community Group, finishing planting a few trees and native grasses and ground cover.
There will be some minor earthworks to the mounds, choosing sites for a kowhai and fruit trees and planting lots of ground cover (coprosmas, grasses, lilies).
BYO tools and maybe a bite to share.
We decided that that fruit trees, particularly pipfruit, won’t survive on the playground without more established shelter plants, so we might put a few of them up on the Krull St verge (above the waterfall) instead.
