I had a call with a fellow called Marcus Berg, who works for a regional branch for a part of Stockholm network of Coompanion. He is very interested in the platform cooperative world, and knows other people in the network who feel the same, including people seeking to bring the 90 000 members strong SMart freelancers cooperative to Sweden.

Because there are very few platform cooperatives, a country like Finland or Sweden alone might have great difficulties compared to US and the UK in finding enough platform cooperatives to have accelerator programs, central organizations, mentoring resources, etc.

This is why it might make sense to have cross-country programs (Nordic countries do a lot of stuff together already) - and to the extent I have ability to influence how its done, Platform6 should play as key part in it as is practically possible.

I would like to have a call with the Markus after 13.6 but before July, and have someone else or few people from Platform6 join me in discussing collaboration.

He is setting up an event about platform cooperatives in September, probably somewhere in Stockholm. I will be there speaking and will be able to promote Platform6.

@marksimmonds he is involved with setting up a cycle courier cooperative in Sweden similar to one I have understood you are involved with in the UK and that already exists in France. Cant remember the name.
