This thread is for discussing sponsorship opportunities and general brand use... its been a while since we debated the branding guidelines, but we have them in a google doc somewhere...

Being a community sponsor for Devcon5 Closed Fri 12 Jul 2019 4:02PM
Devcon has a Community Sponsorship Package that costs $3000 and comes with 2 tickets. Last year we were able to sell the tickets for a profit, i imagine this year we might be able to do the same :-) and it would cover the branding that we would get from this sponsorship package...
It is a risk tho, and maybe we can't sell the tickets for more than the cost of the scholarship... if that is the case paying a little bit for this sponsorship isn't the end of the world.

I think is a great idea specially since last year people had a great response, based on this tweet, the tickets went out in 2 minutes! https://twitter.com/EFDevcon/status/1039288892522778625

Cost ($3k -minus sales), Benefit (branding maintenance - anything else?), Risk (missing future opportunities via depleted resources? other?)

Hope we'll have another nice opportunity to hand out some shirts or at least put our stickers somewhere, for extra visibility.

I think this is super valuable to have a sponsorship presence at DevCon. Likelihood of recouping MOST of the cost seems pretty high it, and if it comes at break even or better yet at a benefit to Giveth for getting a new release out before DevCon would be icing!

Having been there once now and seeing how things work, I'd be super down to woman a table with swag and signing people up to be donors ;)
